Compensation of former members of the Board of Management

In 2018, former members of the Board of Management received aggregate compensation of €674 thousand. The aggregate compensation included a one-time lump sum payment of €390 thousand for Patrick Thomas and pro-rata compensation of €284 thousand for the post-contractual noncompete clause for Frank H. Lutz that was limited to one year. For current pensions, a provision of €668 thousand is recognized in the consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2018, for Frank H. Lutz. A provision of €465 thousand is recognized for this purpose in the financial statements of Covestro AG.
